Hello non-Gravity or Rocksolid member. What we've got here is a load of information about the 2 main youth groups and other stuff we do for young people.
What the dictionary says:
"The natural force of attraction exerted by a celestial body, such as Earth, upon objects at or near its surface, tending to draw them toward the center of the body."
Heavy stuff! Let's simplify and apply. The force of gravity on this earth keeps us grounded. This is exactly what this club offers. During the most difficult and scary time of your life (14-18 years old), you'll need guidance, like we all do. The aim is to learn about how to live a fun and fulfilled life using and applying the teachings of Jesus and the bible. But Gravity isn't just bible study or boring whatever's. It's a place to relax, reflect on the weeks happenings with your mates and to socialise, just like any other Youth Group; except with a goal!

Gravity usually meets on Sunday mornings during the Church service. We also go on trips out to bowling, Laser Quest, libraries (not really). There is also a cell/bible study group where people of the Gravity age meet up and discuss lots of things; 7.15pm - 8.15pm (term-time). For more information, contact Roland.

No dictionary definition this time, I'm just gonna tell it to you straight! Rock Solid is our 11-14 group.

You might have guessed the meaning behind this name but if you havn't, read on.

Just before you go into your teenage years, you need to be equipped with a few facts and ideas. You need to know that what you believe is true. As you grow up, life will throw stuff at you which will shake your beliefs. So it's so important for people to have a Rock Solid foundation. This club will give you a chance to explore Christianity at a pretty basic level. Questions like "What's Jesus got to do with anything 2000 years later?" and "What do open Wardrobe doors, Jesus and a girl called Lucy have in common?" and many more are asked, and it's your job to figure it out!

Rock Solid usually meet on Sunday mornings during the service and also on a Tuesday after school at 4.15pm - 5.30pm (term-time). For more information, contact Roland.

Drama Youth Group
As you can probably imagine from the name, it is the all "youth" age encompassing Drama Youth Group (11-18s). This is in it's early stages at the moment, but with a regular turn out. Here, bible stories are picked out and people act out different characters in the chosen story. Acting out bible characters' parts helps you to understand where they're really coming from. It's hard when reading the bible to understand the emotions behind all the different things that happen. Acting them out helps you to see that the bible is filled with emotion, it's just sometimes hard to see it. But not only bible stories are done here. As I said, we're only new, so there's lots of material that could be covered! Watch this space!

DYG usually meet every Wednesday at 6pm-7pm. For more information, contact Roland.
